It is such a thrill to cut something out, sew it together, stuff it to the point that it takes form. I have made many animals since my grand children started arriving.

Teddy Bears, rag dolls, bunnies for many occasions. Birthdays, step up grades, first hugging toy. They are a great item to pass down from one generation to another.

My grandchildren are getting harder to make toys for as they are getting up in age where other things are more important to them. I try to make each their first teddy bear from grammy. Some have bunnies that I have created for, while others have elephants, dogs, cats it is hard to decide sometimes.
At one time I had two grandchildren living with us. That make it much easier as we knew what they liked. Now sadly, everyone lives hundreds of miles away. Most of my stuffed animals are made to sell now.
